Summer Learning Resources

myONmyON
T
he Carson City School District is pleased to announce an online reading platform. myOn, by Renaissance Learning, is a digital library where students may access their favorite books and complete learning activities throughout the summer.

Why is reading so important? Evidence suggests that children who read for enjoyment every day not only perform better in reading tests than those who don’t, but also develop a broader vocabulary, increased general knowledge and a better understanding of other cultures. Studies also show that reading for pleasure makes a big difference to children’s educational performance. Here’s how you can get your child off to a great start. View the Carson City School District "Student Read Hear, There and Everywhere" slideshow.

ST Math
GIGIAdditionally, ST Math is now being utilized across all six elementary school sites as a supplemental math program. ST Math is a visual instructional program that engages children in creative and rigorous problem solving. We hope you will join us in a partnership by helping your child with access to this program at home.  Please see the “How to Access ST Math” instruction.
