Mrs. Tricia Joy Walther
This is my fifteenth pleasurable year of educating third graders. I believe third grade is the most important grade where student start becoming themselves and learning how they go about learning. When I was younger my one happy place was the school setting. I wanted to provide that feeling of security, safety, and belonging to as many third graders as possible. I grew up in Walnut Creek, California and went to the University of California, Santa Cruz. I had two majors, one in psychology and the other in sociology. After a few years of working in a variety of jobs. I traveled throughout south east Asia and a few other countries. What I noticed was the lack of education unavailable especially to young children. I knew then and there that my calling in life was to become an educator and changed what I could. I decided to dedicate myself to children and education. I knew how important my early childhood education was to me and wanted to give back some of what I received. I was handed my teaching credential after two more years of college at St. Mary's in Moraga, California. I hope to make your third graders experience one the will never forget.
