Comprehensive Life Skills Class
Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grades
Miss Teri Howley
Welcome to our CLS class!
My teaching is a collaborative effort with four talented paraeducators, Karen Bennett, Kim Cohen, Genean Bennett, and Utahna Derbyshire, all of whom love our students and work hard to ensure that they reach their potential in all areas, including the arts, and have fun at school learning and making new friends.
I have been teaching students with learning challenges for 24 years, including 15 years in Douglas County, and now in my 9th year in Carson City.
I feel very blessed to teach in a CLS classroom. Your children fill the room with joy, laughter, and a love of life every minute of the day! Their spirits transcend any challenge put before them, and they are such an inspiration!
My long term goal for students is that their lives become rich in community, with family, friends, and meaningful employment. We can't start too early working toward that goal, teaching academic and life skills that will lead to happy lives of independence!
