Pirate Approved Clothing
We believe that a respectful and safe environment helps every student shine! To promote an atmosphere of learning, comfort, and school spirit, the following clothing guidelines will be in place:
| BOTTOMS |
*Pants, jeans, athletic pants (not leggings), shorts and skirts must be worn at the waist and free from holes, rips, or tears. *Shorts, dresses, and skirts must be no shorter than mid-thigh. |
| TOPS | Shirts or sweatshirts are required at all times. Spaghetti straps, halter tops, tube tops, bare midriffs, and tank tops are not permitted. *Shoulders must be covered.* |
| HATS & HOODS | Hats and hoods are great for outside but will be removed indoors—unless there’s a special circumstance approved by staff. |
| FOOTWEAR | Shoes should be closed-toed and secure for both classroom and playground fun. No flip-flops, heels, slippers, or shoes that can easily slip off. Sneakers are a great choice—especially on PE days! |
| JEWELRY & ACCESSORIES | For safety, large hoop earrings, spike jewelry, and similar accessories should be saved for after school. No make-up should be worn at school. |
| PAJAMAS | Pajamas and pajama pants are cozy but not part of our daily Pirate Approved Clothing. |
- Safe & Positive Messages:
Clothing should reflect our Pirate Pride! Please avoid wearing anything that displays violence, drugs, alcohol, inappropriate language, or gang-related symbols.
- Coverage Counts:
Clothes must not be see-through, and undergarments should not be visible or worn as outerwear.
If a student arrives out of dress code:
We’ll work together to fix it in a supportive way. Students may be asked to:- Change into clothes from their backpack
- Call home for a change of clothes.
- Borrow something clean and comfy from our school supply
