Looking for a change, Autumn Stewart decided to join Pioneer Academy halfway through her tenth grade year. She is currently on track to satisfy her graduation requirements a semester early and is planning to take a short break from school before joining the military to follow her goal and lifelong ambition to go into nursing. With an ambition to help and care for people and desire to see and experience new places and cultures, Autumn is hoping the U.S. Air force will provide her with that opportunity.

As part of the NASA TechRise Student challenge and Future Engineers, Carson High School Engineer students have submitted a proposal to measure muon count and ionizing radiation at varying altitudes.

The Carson City School District is pleased to announce three of Carson High School (CHS) high-achieving students have been named Semifinalists in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program. CHS Seniors Jora Kurland, Mori Kurland and Dylan Olson have qualified as semifinalists and in February 2024, will be notified of their finalist designation for the scholarship(s).

The Carson City School District and its governing board of trustees were highly distinguished at the Nevada Association of School Boards (NASB) Annual Conference in Las Vegas this past weekend. District employees and trustees were heavily acknowledged, earning nearly half of all the awards (7 out of 16 – in 13 categories) presented among the 17 districts statewide.

Carson High School’s Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) program earned fourth place overall (All-Service – Mixed division) at the National Raider Team Challenge in Fort Knox, Ky. last month. The inaugural event hosted by the U.S. Army Cadet Command brought together talented cadets from across the nation to compete in a series of physically challenging events.
