Alexandra Llamas-Cruz is a standout Senior Senator in every way. She is thoughtful, hardworking, dedicated and determined, but also a strong contributor to the school, community and to her family. Alex is an incredible student carrying a weighted GPA of 4.6 and participating in CHS’s Advanced Placement (AP) classes. She has been honored by the College Board with an AP Scholar Award as well as the Hispanic National Recognition Award and is set to graduate with 8 AP courses successfully completed.

Outside of the classroom, Alex is also competitive both as a swimmer and musician. For the CHS Swim Team she swam varsity all years, making the All-Regional team twice and qualifying for regionals all three years. Alex also swims for Carson Tiger Sharks and is hoping to pursue a collegiate swim career next year. Alex is a member of CHS’s Chamber Orchestra and has worked with community youth symphony programs to ensure that opportunities exist for other young musicians. She works hard to give back to the community through volunteer work and commitment to furthering youth swimming opportunities.

Alex is a first generation American with a strong family who cheer her on and push her to always do her best. She plans to attend college with the long-term goal of getting a master’s degree in Library Science. Carson High School is grateful to Alex for her dedication to those around her and her commitment to always bringing pride to the Senator community. Congratulations, Alex!
