Many thanks to all who attended the Carson Educational Support Association (CESA) Banquet at the Governor's Mansion this past weekend. The banquet honored all Education Support Professionals (ESPs) in Carson City for their efforts to strengthen Carson City schools and the local community by helping students remain safe, healthy and ready to learn each day.

Superintendent of Public Instruction for the State of Nevada Jhone Ebert attended along with some school board Trustees. Ms. Ebert provided an uplifting speech to the ESPs and thanked them for all that they do for the Carson City School District.

"Without the dedication of our support staff, our schools could not function properly, and we would not be able to educate our students," she said. "I want you to know that your hard work is recognized, valued and appreciated. You are the true heroes working around-the-clock to make sure our schools got through this [pandemic] challenge."

In addition, she thanked Jolie Conn Roberts for her 32 years of service with the Carson City School District in the Human Resources Dept.
