Pre-K, Kindergarten and Student Information Updates Continue, Full-time Online Learning Registrations Need to be Submitted ASAP

For the coming 2022-2023 school year, the Carson City School District is continuing all Pre-K, Kindergarten, new and returning student updates and full-time online education registrations. As a reminder, this year, there are new kindergarten age requirements, and all full-time online learning will be consolidated through Pioneer Academy 1-12.

School Leaders Earn 3 of only 10 Available National Sustainability Awards

The most energy efficient school district in the state of Nevada, Carson City School District, took time to honor school leaders and students for sustainability efforts at its first inaugural “Green Impact” Awards Ceremony Thursday evening, May 12, 2022, at the Governor’s Mansion. Most notably, district leaders earned 3 of only 10 total Trailblazer Awards available nationally through the Green Schools National Network.

Nineteen CHS Seniors Awarded Fine Arts Diploma Endorsements

Nineteen Carson High School Fine Arts students were awarded Fine Arts Diploma Endorsements at the Senior Showcase event in Senator Square at Carson High Tuesday evening. The students honored will celebrate the achievement by wearing brown Fine Arts cords at graduation.

The Carson City School District took time at the School Board meeting last night to recognize 32 individuals with the “Distinguished Student Award.” The student winners were selected by administrators and recognized from their respective schools as having specific qualities, skills and characteristics that distinguished them.

The Carson City Library’s Pedal Library will be busy delivering books to students attending summer school. Now through the end of June, the teardrop trailer pulled behind a bike will provide up to 60 pounds of books at each elementary school within the Carson City School District. The mobile library will be offering mobile wifi and charging station soon.
